I entered the unity consciousness movement early in 2011 after reading The Iliad, The Odyssey, and The Pelican History of Ancient Greece. Suddenly I had a very down-to-earth practical understanding of what "sacrifice to the gods" meant in our everyday lives today--combined with a suspicion that the gods were inside and around me and having a pretty good time playing around, sometimes at my expense. Shortly thereafter, I stumbled into an explanation of crop circles by Freddy Silva, and I was off and running.... Everything in my world had to be revisited and relearned--science, psychology, religion, conspiracy theories galore, Sitchin, HAARP, Steven Greer, Bob Dean, Marcia Schafer, comet Elenin, 9/11. I watched videos, read book after book, showed my friends and associates as much as I could. I got an urge to read up on sacred geometry and ancient Egypt and bought three books, one by John Michell, and two by Drunvalo Melchizedek. I recognized the secret doctrine in Drunvalo's books right away, and studied MerKaBa until I could take a class locally by a Flower of Life facilitator, Nancy McMillan (a flower in her own rite). What a trip it has been, like being shot out of a cannon... And now Maureen shows up with "Beyond the Flower of Life"? Take it all in folks. It will never be better than it is right now. Although I agree with the 6/29/10 review that Maureen's book is a bit preachy, it's only like that in the first chapter. Drunvalo says in The Ancient Secret of the Flower of Life: Volume 2, it's ideal to take a Flower of Life workshop to get the full experience of the MerKaBa and Maureen is echoing that theme. Maureen has taught the MerKaBa meditation to thousands of people on the planet, so you get the benefit of their experiences in her book. If you need to, skip the first chapter.Beyond the first chapter is resource after resource of information I've not seen anywhere else--what the Higher Self is, what the MerKaBa is truly about, and everything you need to know to "get it." She holds nothing back on how you can have a totally accurate Higher Self connection in 45 days! That alone is worth picking up this book and reading it. Like the 1/25/10 review says, you don't need to have learned the MerKaBa to change your life with this book.You can rely on Beyond the Flower of Life to provide you with mastery in an area that is all too often represented in a muddy and murky way.I'm also totally blown away that Maureen personally responded to the guy who didn't get his book in over a month and offered him a free copy.
